Welcome to The Dōjō with Nicolas!
Every journey begins with a first step
Welcome to The Dōjō with Nicolas
Hey there 👋
I’m Nicolas, and this is my online Dōjō — a space for all those who love Karate, but whose lives are sometimes too full to keep training the way they’d like to.
Maybe you’re over 40, with a busy life, family, and work responsibilities.
Maybe you’re trying to find time to keep moving, stay strong, and reconnect with the art that shaped who you are.
Maybe you’re a complete beginner who’d like to integrate some martial arts wisdom and strength to support your daily life.
If that sounds like you… welcome home. 🙏
🥋 What is The Dōjō with Nicolas?
It’s not a new Karate style or a rebranding of tradition.
It’s simply my way of sharing what I’ve learned over 30 years of practice — in France, in Japan, and through teaching hundreds of students.
Here, you’ll find a living practice — built on Shotokan Karate’s foundations, enriched by Yoga, breathing work, meditation, and body awareness techniques inspired by Tai Chi and Natural Movement Flow.
This is a place for real training, reflection, and growth — both on and off the tatami.
💡 What makes this space different from YouTube?
On YouTube, I share lessons, workouts, and ideas freely — and I’ll keep doing that.
But this Dōjō goes deeper.
Here, we:
train together in live and recorded sessions designed for busy people,
exchange directly through reflections, community posts and chat,
and dive into the principles, stories, and wisdom that you won’t find in a 10-minute video.
It’s about building consistency and meaning — not just technique.
⚔️ Who is this for?
This Dōjō is for those who believe that Karate is more than a sport or a set of techniques.
It’s for people who want to keep learning and evolving — even when life gets messy, time is short, or motivation fades.
It’s for you if you:
See Karate as a lifelong path of self-mastery and balance,
Believe that real progress is built through daily discipline and awareness,
Want to reconnect with the mental, spiritual, and cultural roots of Budō,
Want to train smarter, not harder — and bring Karate’s lessons into everyday life.
Whether you’re a beginner, a returning practitioner, or a long-time Karateka, this space will help you keep training when you can’t train — and keep growing, both physically and mentally.
🚫 Who this isn’t for
This community isn’t about trophies or belts.
It’s not for those chasing quick results or external validation.
It’s not about showing off, but about showing up — for yourself, your body, your mind, your spirit and your loved ones.
If you’re here, it’s because you believe in Karate as a lifelong journey, not just an activity.
🌸 Our spirit and golden rules
Always be kind and respectful.
Show courtesy — both in words and actions.
Train seriously, but don’t take yourself too seriously.
Apply advice before giving it.
Seek growth, not perfection.
Remember: the goal isn’t victory, but never giving up.
Everyone trains at their own pace — patience is also part of the way.
Inspire others through your practice, your humility, and your smile.
This is not just a Dōjō — it’s a circle of people walking the same path, learning from each other, and keeping the fire of Karate alive in their everyday lives.
If you’ve read this far and you feel a quiet “yes” inside you...
Then you’re in the right place.
Welcome to The Dōjō with Nicolas.
Let’s train, reflect, and grow — together.
OSS 🙏
Nicolas ✌👊
